GerbView ™ allows you to view and print Gerber, ODB++ and Adobe PDF files.
GerbView is compatible with both RS-274D Gerber formats and can be used to convert older Gerber files into the new RS-274X extended format. This extended Gerber format includes embedded aperture information. It will make it easier to avoid errors when manufacturing the PCB.
GerbView has a PDF toCAD capability that allows you to convert Adobe PDF files in Gerber or Autodesk to DXF.
Gerbview can visualize your design on the screen and in hardcopy. You no longer have to wait for a prototype circuit board to see your true design. Use the precise measure and query tool to verify apertures, tools, distances, etc.
In GerbView you work with a workspace that can contain one or more files of the supported file formats. You can save the workspace for later use. The workspace can be saved to link to your design file. You will only need to reload workspace file to view the entire design.
Markup elements like text, barcodes, arrows, lines, images, ellipses and polygons can be added to the workspace. All markup components can be burn-in and added to a Gerber layers. This feature allows for easy addition of text or images using barcodes to a layer.
GerbView is able to rasterize single files or entire workspaces. It can also save to any of the supported raster format.
You can print in scaled, or in the actual size. All Windows-based plotters/printers are supported. Poster mode, also known by tiled pages, allows you to print large designs, drawings and illustrations on a number of smaller A4/Letter pages.
